Include a piece of design history in your home with this Eames Plywood Mobile from Vitra.
This piece is the result of a series of experiments made by Charles and Ray Eames in the early 1940's. They wanted to refine their plywood moulding techniques. The biomorphic shapes they created are strongly reminiscent of Ray's artwork and graphics. The Eameses hung them as mobiles from the ceiling of their Los Angeles apartment.
This Plywood Mobile consists of two abstract, organically shaped plywood elements that playfully revolve around one another.
