What are connecting bands, and what are they used for?
Connecting bands are additional elastic bands, sold as a refill accessory, that allow you to secure several refills inside the same cover. They are available in two options depending on the size:
- TRAVELER’S notebook Refill 021 Connecting Bands - Regular Size
- TRAVELER’S notebook Refill 011 Connecting Bands - Passport Size
They are sold in sets of four bands per refill.
Step 1: Prepare the cover and the first refill.
Place the first notebook into the central elastic band of the cover, through the middle of the notebook.
Step 2: Add the second refill.
Open both notebooks in the middle and place them facing each other, back cover against back cover.
Step 3: Adjust the band correctly.
Pass a connecting band through the center of both refills, all the way to the end. Once both are secured through their middle sections, you will have the refills inside your TRAVELER’S notebook.
*Important: do not slide the band into place. Stretch it gently to avoid damaging it through friction.
How to add 3 refills:
Step 1: Join two refills with the band.
Open the first two refills in the center and join them with the connecting band.
Step 2: Place them inside the cover.
Position them over the central elastic band of the leather cover.
Step 3: Add the third refill.
Pass the third notebook directly through the central elastic band of the cover. This way, you will have three refills installed at the same time.

- Do not force the elastic: stretch it gently instead of sliding it.
