Rafa Sañudo

Rafa Sañudo (Spain, 1965) is a Spanish designer, filmmaker and illustrator. He studied film in Los Angeles and has developed a diverse career, working as an illustrator, graphic designer, cartoonist, audiovisual director and art director. His design of the Madrid subway map is notable for having eliminated diagonal lines and using only verticals and horizontals. In this illustrated version, he added geographical elements to facilitate orientation.
