Description
The lithograph Académie Moderne pays homage to the mythical art school founded in Paris in 1924 by Fernand Léger and Amédée Ozenfant. This free, avant-garde space was a meeting point for young European and American artists. Figures such as Aleksandra Ekster, Otte Sköld, and Marie Laurencin taught there.
This piece was made using the traditional lithographic printing technique, which uses a limestone or metal plate to transfer images with great precision and detail.
